Rest On Me (Exploring The Riches of His Glory) by Apostle Selman

“The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.” Psalm 119:130 (KJV)
Lift your voice and give The Lord a shout of victory because you’re victorious.
Shout, clap, dance and give God all the glory, because you are victorious.
Declare: I Am Victorious!
Lift your hands above your head and thank God for His presence, because we are truly victorious.
Acknowledge The Victorious One!
Father, we thank You for everyone here and the many following online.
We thank You because we are being changed. We have come to You, submitting to the supremacy of Your word, and we ask that You transform us tonight, enlighten us tonight, refresh us tonight, empower us tonight, in the name of Jesus Christ!
Let this be our night of rising up to higher dimensions in The Spirit, and higher dimensions in destiny, in the name of Jesus Christ!
The Word of God in partnership with His Holy Spirit, is our invitation to new dimensions and new levels in The Spirit.
The greatest fruit of discipleship is not just increase in the membership of the people you’re discipling, nor is it just influence. Rather, the greatest fruit of discipleship, is a balanced Christian life that reflects the nature of Christ, the wisdom of Christ, and the power of Christ as well.
There will be a lot of consequences if these three components are not captured in the life of a Believer.
If we lack wisdom, we cannot build anything, because wisdom is responsible for building anything sustainable.
If we lack the power of Christ we cannot bring validation to the speaking’s of Christ neither can we be effective witnesses without power. (Acts 4:33)
Anyone leading people must apply these measures in building them.
The fullness of Christ is a summation of the Nature + Character + Wisdom of Christ.
When you come to the presence of God, it is important that you know what you’re becoming.
You’re not becoming an arbitrary Believer; you’re coming into the fullness of Christ, evident in His nature, His character, and His power.
“Oh that I were as in months past, as in the days when God preserved me; When his candle shined upon my head, and when by his light I walked through darkness.” Job 29: 2-3 (KJV)
The principal way to come into the fullness of Christ is by light and there are two dimensions of the operations of light:
1. Light that shines on your head: This is for illumination and enlightenment.
2. Light that shines on your path: This is for direction and guidance.
May you experience both dimensions of light, in Jesus name!

One way to be a blessing to your world, is to enlarge yourself to host the glory of God, in an ever increasing dimension.
I pray for you: that after tonight, you will host the glory of God in an ever increasing dimension, in the name of Jesus Christ!
The difference amongst individuals is the weight and measure of God’s glory that they each have allowed their lives to express.
One way to be a blessing, is to pay the price and reveal weightier measures of God’s glory.
The Love of God is (indiscriminately) rich unto all; so the difference between preachers and Believers is not the love of God. The difference is the weight of God’s glory an individual carries.
You cannot step into greater dimensions in the Spirit, whilst ignoring the ministry of The Holy Spirit.
When you find a Believer transiting in wisdom and power, then The Holy Spirit is behind that result. The business of power resides in The Spirit of God.
What Is the Glory of God?
The glory of God refers to the manifest presence of God, alongside the invaluable resources that come alongside that presence.
Two major aspects in studying God’s glory for a Believer’s understanding:
1. Learning how to host the glory of God in ever-increasing dimensions. The glory of God is in weight and dimensions.
2. Learning how to glorify God by manifesting the riches of His glory.
Glory in its raw form is best be described as a description of the various captures that makes something desirable or worthy of worship.
Two factors responsible for the disparities in people’s results:
1. The election of grace
2. The weight of glory
The election of grace accounts for about 20 percent, while the weight of glory accounts for about 80 percent.
Despite the election of grace that may be evident in the life of a person, if the person fails to press for the weight of God’s glory, their life remains bankrupt of results.
The glory of God that we carry as Believers, is closely related to presence and it can open any door, when we show up.
Being called to be a witness may not afford you the opportunity to have certain climates. The goal is not to complain about this restriction, but to learn how to carry your own climate (presence of God).
As you ascend in the Spirit, you will rise to a place where you will host the climate of the power and the glory of God.
The end to an unhealthy competition in the Body of Christ can be dealt with, when we learn to rise in the glory of God.
Asides proper discipleship, we are yet to be properly taught the path to hosting God’s glory, in the body of Christ. Lack of this understanding has created a gap in our revelation of Jesus.
The average Believer should be a carrier of God’s glory.
It is not every dimension of prayer that directly translates to hosting the glory of God.
The only dimension of prayer that brings the glory of God, is the fellowship dimension (Koinonia).
You can pray on-the-go, but you cannot study The Word on-the-go. There is greater discipline required for studying The Word.
The goal of mentorship is that it creates a desire to study The Word.
We must learn to separate the sincerity of a person speaking on the pulpit, and the truthfulness of the words being dispensed.
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” – Colossians 3:16 (KJV)
The dimension of worship that births the glory of God, is the power of worship – using sounds, hymns, spiritual songs, and melodies.
Instruments are languages in the Spirit: they are all instruments of worship. When the Word of God is interwoven with instruments, it produces power and births the glory of God. Singing unto The Lord is one of the ways we minister to Him.
Spirituality uses and wears the body of science and arts to gain full expression upon the earth, through innovations.
Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: Come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: It is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. – Psalm 100:1-3 (KJV)
One of the protocols for accessing God’s presence is to come with singing. Singing unto The Lord is one of the ways we minister unto Him.
5 Learning Outcomes from Tonight’s Sermon – ‘Rest on me’ (Exploring The Riches Of His Glory):
1. The glory of God rests on people, and it is revealed through individuals in weights and measures.
2. The conveyor of the glory of God to people through individuals, is The Holy Spirit (1 Peter 4: 14).
3. Your level of dominion in experience, depends on the weight and measure of glory you carry and manifest (1 Corinthians 15: 41).
4. There are five platforms for hosting the glory of God:
– The prayer platform. (Luke 9: 29-35)
– The Word-study platform (2 Corinthians 3: 18, Psalms 119: 98-100)
– The worship platform. (2 Chronicles 5: 13-14)
– Obedience platform (Exodus 25: 9, 40, Exodus 40: 33-35)
– The sacrifice platform (2 Chronicles 7: 1-3)
5. When the glory of God rests upon an individual, it brings two experiences:
– Encounters: These are experiences that open up new dimensions of God to you, strengthens your convictions about God, and deepens your intimacy with God (Job 42: 5, 1 John 1: 1-3)
– Interventions: These are supernatural acts. It is to get involved in a matter so that you stop it from deteriorating, or so that you can improve it.
All these must be engaged for the glory of God to be manifest in the life of a Believer.
One of the things that happen when you worship, is that you receive the activation of creative imagination, and from creative imagination, you step into the prophetic.
Everytime you’re weak to pray, switch to worship.
It is not the will of God to have just a handful of people carrying glory in any field of endeavour, but He is constrained by the number of those who choose to pay the price to carry His fire, His presence, and His glory.
Sadly, the challenge with this is that the few who are available can slip into a place of pride.
As preachers let us stay and know God, understand scripture, carry presence and power. So that whenever we are given an opportunity, we reveal the full counsel of God.
God is a God of patterns. The glory of God doesn’t come until the dictates of a pattern have been kept.
The real proof that you love God is not confession; it is obedience.
Open your mouth and cry to God for the grace to be obedient to Him.
“And Moses said, This is the thing which the LORD commanded that ye should do: and the glory of the LORD shall appear unto you.” – Leviticus 9:6 (KJV)
There is always what you must DO to see the glory of God.
– The glory of God appears in reponse to obedience.
– There is a relationship between the glory of God and obedience.
There is a dimension of the glory of God you will never experience if you’re all about comfort and convenience. Certain weightiness of God’s glory will demand sacrifices – sacrifice of your time, energy, resources, life, and loyalty.
There is a cost to carrying certain dimensions of the glory of God. You must obtain the grace to become a living sacrifice unto God.
In a generation clouded with convenience, we must become that living sacrifice to host the glory of God. Sacrifice of our time, energy and resources.
Don’t just covet people’s anointing; you must pay attention to the blood (sacrifice) that drips from their altar.
There are certain things that people have done that it seems like God loves them differently. It is because of the depth of sacrifice they have offered; they have ‘died’ a thousand times over.
This weight of sacrifice turns the jealousy of God in their direction, where obedience meets with sacrifice. This is the realm where sacrifice becomes like a badge of honour on your shoulder.
The higher you go with God, the weightier the sacrifice that will be demanded from you.
If you desire growth, then you must be willing to pay the requisite level of sacrifice.
I pray for you: May you receive the grace to give your all to Jesus Christ!
For you to carry the glory of God, you must understand that there is a relationship between death (sacrifice) and glory.
Heavenly resources always comes to you alongside the glory of God. These are the resources that become a system of advantage to your life, and for your dominion.
These resources are called The Riches Of His Glory (Ephesians 3: 16, 2 Corinthians 9:8)
How God Designed The Believers Needs To Be Met: (Philippians 4: 19)
The Believer’s needs are supplied according to God’s riches and they are in His glory. Anytime the glory of God comes, it comes with these packages and these packages are called the Riches of God’s glory and when you receive them, they empower you to walk in dominion:
1. Wisdom
2. Understanding
3. Favour
4. The Anointing
5. The voice of God (with His voice comes guidance and direction).
6. Strength/Capacity
7. Skill (know-how)
8. Utterance (the ability to communicate).
Pertaining to the riches of God’s glory, the first thing we need is to get the glory, before venturing into anything. Our function as a king-priest starts when we recieve the glory of God, and the riches that comes with it.
When the glory of God comes before the answer to your needs arrive, the answers should never distract you from pressing into more of God.
The goal is to keep pressing for the glory of God to rest upon your life.
What empowers people when we see them is the wealth of God’s glory on their lives. Anytime we celebrate individuals, we celebrate the investment of God’s glory on them.
The way satan attacks men is by attacking their ability to stay and host the glory of God. Before intervention is encounter.
The devil is not really interested in stopping us from receiving the answers to our needs, he is most interested in keeping us from accessing the glory of God that will birth those answers.
In this Kingdom, needs are supplied according to the riches of God’s glory.
No individual on earth can meet your needs outside of the glory of God, and if they do, it will come with negative consequences.
Your focus and prayer must be for the glory of God as favour, utterance, wisdom, understanding, skill, the voice of God, strength, and the anointing to rest on you.
Whatever His glory cannot give us, any man proporting to give it to us will hand it to us with side effects.
You can never walk in influence and dominion, if you don’t walk in the riches of the glory of God.
Make contact with someone by holding their hands, and begin to pray in The Spirit.
Our prayer tonight is: “rest on me”. Every agenda in the service is geared towards revelation of the glory of God to rest upon us.
Our longevity in the house of God is measured by the riches of God’s glory that has found expression in our lives.
The greatest investment is not in stocks. The greatest investment anyone can make, is an investment in God’s presence, so that you can host the glory of God in an ever-increasing dimension.
When you understand the glory of God, you will never be involved in competition. You will understand that it is only a waste of time and energy, because the same God is rich unto all.
True wealth is staying in God’s presence, until the riches of His glory rests upon you.
Don’t be afraid of technology, and don’t allow the devil to deceive you. Everything on earth can fade away, but the presence of God will always remain.
Lift your voice and thank God for all you have heard tonight, in Jesus name.
Pray: Mention all the 5 channels and declare “Lord I obtain grace to maximize all these channels, in Jesus name”.
Mention all the eight tokens (Wisdom, Understanding, Favour, Utterance, His Voice, The Anointing, Skill) of the glory of God, and insist that they rest on you in greater dimensions and proportions.
Let an anointing flow that brings you into the secret place, in Jesus name.
Let an anointing flow that brings us back to the place of prayer, back to the study of The Word.
Let an anointing flow that will bring you back to the place of worship.
Let an anointing flow that will bring you back to the place of obedience.
Let an anointing flow that will bring you back to the place of sacrifice.
I pray that as we invest in these platform, may Your presence and the weight of Your glory rest on us, and on the body of Christ, speedily
The power that comes with God’s glory, let it rest on us, in Jesus name!
The Favour that comes with The Glory, let is rest on us, in Jesus name!
The direction and guidance that comes from the glory, let it rest on us, in Jesus name.
From today, when men will see us, we will be weighty, we will carry the glory of God in Jesus name!
Go and excel by the glory, in Jesus name!
Business people! Excel by the glory, in Jesus name!
Professionals! Excel by the glory, in Jesus name!
Everything dead, as we introduce the glory, may it come back to life, in Jesus name.
