Nigeria gospel singer and songwriter, Emmanuel Izuchukwu Benjamin, aka Eben, was born on the 9th of September into the family of six as the fifth child and raised in Lagos State, Nigeria. He was born into a Christian family.
He schooled at Orile Primary School and then went to Community Grammar School, Orile, Lagos. He began his musical career in 1994 as a rapper before delving into gospel music in 1997 singing in the youth choir, and later the mass choir at Winners’ Chapel.
