The Emergence (The Seasons That Birth Greatness) Luke 1:80 by Apostle Selman
Lift your hands and acknowledge His holiness and His power in our midst tonight.
Pray: Lord, I desire an encounter and that encounter by Your Spirit, in the name of Jesus.
Lift up your hands in prayer and acknowledge The Holy One of Israel.
Ask The Lord for an encounter, don’t make it a religion. Let it be a true desire from your heart.
Pray: Lord, I desire an encounter by Your Spirit.
Prophecy 1:
In the name of Jesus, I pray for you, where you have been stagnated, I come with an anointing tonight and I speak to your destiny and life: Go forward! Inspite of the obstacles and limitations, go forward!
Prophecy 2:
In this season, find help! Find angelic help, through the ministry of men, by the ministry of mercy: financial help, marital help, help in your body, find help in the name of Jesus!
Prophecy 3:
Live long!
Every spirit of untimely death programmed over your destiny, I declare unto you, live long!
Every contract with death is cancelled and aborted, in the name of Jesus!
Prophecy 4:
In this season prosper!
Fruitfulness is your portion!
Every demonic force holding your hands and making your productivity not to yield, I declare: by all godly means do well! Prosper!
Prophecy 5:
I decree and declare: walk in divine wisdom; wisdom beyond your age and education, by the power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead, it will show in your life that you have access to divine, superior wisdom!
You will make superior decisions by The Spirit of God!
Every demonic spirit manipulating your vision, making good look like evil and evil look like good, in the name of Jesus, I declare, let it be corrected!
“This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare” – 1 Timothy 1:18 (KJV)
In a few minutes, lift up your voice and internalize the prophetic words! By these prophecies wage a good warfare. Pray them into your life to ensure they yield a harvest in your life!
Partner with The Holy Spirit and program the next season of your life, as you pray!
Father, in the name of Jesus, let there be a performance of the prophetic over Your children’s lives, let none of the prophecies fail, in the name of Jesus!
Every Word God has spoken to you, I pray for you, let there be an evidence! Some of you will experience it before tonight’s service ends, in the name of Jesus!
ASSIGNMENT:
Use this week to pray into your life, the five prophetic words declared tonight. Pray and insist on a manifestation of the prophetic words in your life!
In this season, those who mocked God in your life, God will answer them, in the name of Jesus!
The Believer in Christ Jesus is a product of encounters.
An encounter is any scriptural spiritual, experience, journey or process that makes a spiritual communication real to you.
An encounter crystallizes the reality of a thing, person or idea to produce convictions.
If your journey is not based on encounters, you will not last, and you will not be effective.
Levels of encounters necessary for the health of a Believer’s spiritual journey:
1. Encounter with Jesus Christ, The Son of The Living God.
2. Encounter with the person and ministry of The Holy Spirit. (John 16:13)
3. Your encounter with The Word of God (as a compendium of speakings, thoughts, and ideas – logos – of God). – Acts 20:32, Colossians 3:16, John 1:3, Colossians 1:16, Jeremiah 6:16
4. Encounter with the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:11-13).
If you do not encounter the body of Christ, you cannot have a balanced growth, and some dimensions of God will remain foreign to you.
Within the body of Christ, is the wisdom and grace for excellence, the wisdom and grace for the manifestation of the power of God, the grace to build, and the grace to last.
“To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, To guide our feet into the way of peace. And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel.” – Luke 1:79-80 (KJV)
“To shine upon those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, To guide our feet [in a straight line] into the way of peace and serenity.” [Is 9:2] The child continued to grow and to become strong in spirit, and he lived in the deserts until the day of his public appearance to Israel [as John the Baptist, the forerunner of the Messiah].” – Luke 1:79-80 (AMP)
The reason the Bible was documented is because it is the richest printed capture of the speakings of God, and the richest platform that reveals God to people.
We learn Scriptures in three layers:
1. Doctrinally
2. Contextually
3. Prophetically
The secret to the future, oftentimes is in the past. We can study the path that the patriarchs took, so as to glean wisdom.
If you truly understand the Scripture, the wisdom and grace connected with the Scripture must definitely come upon your life.
There are two ways the Believer is transformed in the Kingdom:
1. Looking unto Jesus.
(2 Corinthians 3:18)
2. The power of role models: looking unto people who are worthy role models, who themselves are looking unto Jesus.
(Hebrews 6:12)
Characters or persons (names) captured in the Bible were not just personalities that existed through their lifetime; they are people that have become spiritual pathways that can be followed to produce a certain kind of a Believer.
The Holy Spirit will never train you outside the characters revealed in Scripture.
If God wants to train you in a specific area, there is always a person in the Bible who models or portrays that area of training. Eventually, you will find that there is always a parallel in the Scriptures.
No matter how rare or unique your training is, there is always a human example, or Jesus Himself, who reflects that dimension.
When an information is building you, and you cannot find your parallel in the Scriptures, it should make you verify the information in check and balances, using the Scriptures.
No matter how rare your call and training is, no matter how unique your training is, you must have a verification system within, and that is the verification of finding your parallel in the Scripture.
The way to verify supernatural experiences is the degree to which that experience produces Christ in you.
Do not be afraid to judge spiritual experiences in your life, no matter how spectacular they occurred.
Sometimes a vision you received can be correct, but the timing for executing the vision can be wrong and wrong timing can make a correct prophecy to still fail.
No matter how supernatural an encounter is, you must vet it under the radar of the wisdom and power of God, and if it is not consistent with The Word of God, you have a right to reject and dump the encounters.
“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:” – Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV)
“And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel.” – Luke 1:80 (KJV)
As a Believer, knowing your prophetic destiny is not enough, you must understand timing and seasons.
The progression of life is divided into seasons. It is not enough to know the will of God, you must understand the seasons and the timings of life.
When people don’t understand nor interpret the writings of a season, it is the reason the glory and grace of God cannot emerge in their lives.
“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;” – Ecclesiastes 3:1-6 (KJV)
Pharaoh’s dreams interpreted as seven years of abundance and seven years of famine, is a pointer that in everyone’s life, the season of plenty, will be succeeded by the season of lack.
When seasons are before you, don’t only enjoy the season, you must also read the unseen letter of the next season that will come after it.
“And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, and shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation” – Luke 19:41, 43-44 (KJV)
Most Believers do not know their times and seasons, and according to the scriptures, that was one reason why Jesus cried.
Three major seasons in the life of a Believer:
1. The season of discovery and preparation:
If you fail to discern seasons, you will waste them, and they will not profit you.
There are four areas to discover and prepare for, in the season of discovery and preparation:
1. Discover God.
(Genesis 1:1, Daniel 11:32)
2. Discover yourself.
(Jeremiah 1:5-12)
3. Discover your abilities, giftings and every spiritual investment God put within you: These are the tools God will use to birth His glory in your life. What you have in your hands and in your house will be instruments that God will use to bring deliverance to your life and to make you a vessel of deliverance to others.
(2 Kings 4:1-2)
4. Find your place in prophecy.
Timing matters in the subject of destiny. The efficient manifestation of your destiny has been calculated in time, and if you lose time, it can take only the mercy of God for you to manifest greatness in life.
Your gifting and abilities are the tools that God will use to birth His glory in and through your life, and if you do not know that these tools are there, you cannot refine them and use them to birth greatness.
You can reduce the burden associated with destiny, when you receive prophecies and connect them to seasons.
You don’t have all the time to be trained in readiness for destiny. The season you’re currently in is wrapping up, in preparation for unraveling the next season of manifestation.
The prophetic word from God to someone is: “HURRY UP!”
Seasons don’t wait for anyone; they keep passing in time, even when you waste them as a result of ignorance.
The fact that you had a vision of your prophetic destiny doesn’t mean you’ll automatically walk in them. Whether you waste seasons or invest in seasons, and use them profitably, is entirely up to you.
Titles don’t truly announce a person. It is when you have maximised seasons that you get announced.
Three Major Seasons in the life of a Believer:
2. The season of testing or proving. (Deut 8:11-16, Psalm 66:12)
It is in this season that God is most silent. At this point, Satan can use various channels of communication to confuse your destiny.
If satan fails to destroy a destiny in the season of discovery, he patiently waits till the person gets to the season of proving and testing – where the Believer is learning the silence of God – then attempts to introduce strange voices, to derail you.
There is a part of your destiny’s prophecy where God will not give you the liberty to see it. It is concealed so that it doesn’t discourage you.
One of the ways to know that you’re in the season of proving and testing, is that there will be a conflict between your integrity and your results.
You weren’t properly taught, if your idea of the leading of God is that there is a straight line between the prophetic word and its manifestation.
God’s silence is a message; when you don’t hear His voice, trust His presence.
Your confidence ought not to be anchored on The Word of God only. Rather, it must be anchored on both His Words and His presence.
The best thing to do in the season of proving and testing, is to stay with God and give Him thanks, even in your tears.
Just because God is silent, does not imply you’re wasting your time.
Identify the season of God’s silence; you’re not wasting your life and your days.
When righteousness seems like a disadvantage in your life, or appears unprofitable, when serving and loving Jesus doesn’t seem to pay, don’t give up. Be patient. God is not done with you!
When you go through pain, there’s a way God can make it process you, so that you will be quick to help others in similar situations.
In the process of building a Believer, taking them away from the challenges they’re in won’t help them, rather it’s more profitable to keep them in the midst of the challenges.
The moment there’s a Plan B and they’re leaving the process prematurely, they may lose the trust of their future audience.
Three Things The Season of Testing And Proving Achieves :
1. It reveals to you how insufficient your strength is outside the help and mercy of God.
(2 Corinthians 3:5)
In acknowledging your weakness, there is an exchange of your weakness for God’s strength.
If glory is to be birthed in you, the season of proving and testing must complete its full work in your life.
2. It plants compassion within you and compassion for others.
3. It builds trust and confidence.
You haven’t come out of a season, if you don’t come out with a full story: a testimony of trusting God in the midst of the fire.
Two principal ways God announces people:
1. God uses people to announce people.
2. God uses a supernatural means without the assistance of any person.
Three Major Seasons in the life of a Believer:
3. The Season of Appearance and Manifestation (John 2:3-4, Luke 1:80)
There is speed when you enter your season of manifestation; it’s as though everything partners with God to say, ‘Hear ye him’. When it is your season, even the smallest things can announce you.
Be careful during this season. It is in this season people forget God and the scars birthed by pain. (Deuteronomy 8:11-17)
If you don’t learn the dynamics of this seasons, good things can become a curse.
For someone, I speak to you: Not too long from now, like the flipping of the pages of a book, there will be a change of season, in the name of Jesus Christ!
I stand as a prophet and I usher you into the season of appearance and manifestation, in the name of Jesus Christ!
The season of appearance and manifestation is a very sensitive season.
If you don’t know how to navigate this season, you will lose the blessing that comes with it.
Four things to do in your Season of Appearance and Manifestation:
1. Perpetually acknowledge God in the presence of all who celebrate you. (Proverbs 3:5-7)
Greatness is a trust. There are no self-made people in God’s Kingdom. As a Believer, you must acknowledge God, and not forget Him.
2. Build a system that protects your convictions and a system that protects your continuous spiritual and mental growth. (Acts 6:3-4)
In essence, build a system to protect activities that maintain your fire, such as prayer, word-study life, values, etc. The exercises and activities that brought you to the top, do not leave them.
3. Build quality pro-destiny relationships.
Leverage your advantage of being renowned to build quality relationships.
Do not discard the people who believed in you when you were nothing.
4. Raise people who will preserve and extend your relevance.
Do not get carried away by the accolades of men and forget to raise people. Life is in seasons; you can remain relevant because you invested in others.
One of the most tragic things in life is to be referred to as “once great” or formerly relevant.
Invest in people; it will invariably produce results in your future.
Who will remember you when seasons change?
You’re not called to raise everyone, but you’re called to raise some people. So ensure you raise people.

Lord, show me mercy, give me an opportunity again to discover myself in prophecy, to discover my gifts, abilities and spiritual investments You’ve deposited in me.
Pray: Lord, I receive staying power; the grace to wait on You.
Grant me the grace to call You faithful in the midst of disappointments.
Pray and obtain grace to create systems that protect your spiritual life.
Obtain grace to build quality relationships.
Obtain grace to build others.
In the name of Jesus, go forth in peace. In the name of Jesus, find favour this week. In the name of Jesus, experience victory this week. Receive testimonies this week. May helpers arise for you this week.
Every prophetic word that has been spoken over your life and was spoken in today’s service, let it manifest speedily, in the name of Jesus. You will not have any cause to weep this week and if at all you will cry, let it be tears of joy.
I bless your Monday to Sunday, it remains blessed in Jesus name.
I decree and declare that the hand of God is upon you for good. You will enjoy the ministry of The Holy Spirit. Go from glory to glory. Let there be back to back testimonies for you, in Jesus name .
We are in the days of His power and this calls for personal revival and spiritual awakening.
